Woman delivers quadruplets at Kadic Hospital

Tuesday morning will remain an historical day when quadruplets were born at Kadic Hospital Bukoto near Kampala.

Gateteyi Scovia (35) and Rwakabisha George (33) both cattle keepers in Kiboga could not believe their eyes when Dr. Kaddu showed them their four babies delivered using C-section.

Scovia said that when the doctors found out in March that she had three embryos in her womb, she got scared but when she came to Kadic and the Ultrasound scan showed them four kids, she put all her trust in God. “I had to leave everything to God who had given me the gift of children” she said. She was all smiles despite the pains she was feeling “Am happy and grateful to God for giving me four children at once” she noted.

Rwakabisha George, the husband was likewise happy to have quadruplets but hastened to add that he wanted good Samaritans to come to their rescue since these are their first born and they are based in Kiboga.

Three of the babies are girls and one is a boy. They weighed  2.9kg, 2.5kg, 1.9 and 1.6kg.

According to Dr. Kaddu , this was his  first time to assist a woman deliver quadruplets and it was the first time such babies  are born at the Hospital.

“I felt happy when she delivered all her four babies alive” he said. He went on to say that the couple came all the way from Kiboga and that they had just been married a year ago and this was their first borns. He said that when they took a scan and found out that she carried four babies, they decided to carryout a ceasarean section.

“We had wanted to refer them to Mulago but they insisted that they wanted to deliver in Kadic, we are happy that they have brought Joy to this Hospital” he says.
